Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta Platforms as the two companies deepen their work on artificial intelligence models.

Meta announced the equity investment on Tuesday. The funds support the development of Muse, an AI assistant designed to act as a personal agent for users of Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta services. Meta employees refer to the project internally as Hatch.

The partnership builds on infrastructure that already supports Muse. Nvidia provides the computing power that runs the models. The companies plan to work more closely together to improve performance and lower costs. This collaboration is central to CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s goal of delivering personal superintelligence to billions of people who use Meta platforms daily.

Muse is modeled on the open-source AI agent OpenClaw. The system can access a user’s email, calendar, payments, health data, shopping history, and smart-home applications. Users retain the ability to revoke access to these data sources at any time.

The investment arrives as Meta raises capital to fund its AI buildout. Earlier on Tuesday, the company increased its equity offering to $97.5 billion. That figure marks the largest fundraising in Meta’s history. The company stated it is accelerating investment in AI infrastructure to support these new tools.

Beyond the core Muse project, Nvidia and Meta may expand their cooperation on Nvidia’s OpenShell framework. This framework helps companies roll out software safely. The companies also discussed using a monitoring tool called Sentry to track how AI agents behave in real-world applications.
